Remote Dialer adds dialing capabilities to any application. It can also be used as a standalone dialer. When the Dialer is loaded it appears in the system tray. Highlight a phone number in a document, in an html page or in a database or spreadsheet and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl+C). The Dialer will pop up with the phone number ready to dial. Phone numbers may also be typed. The dialer considers any text as phone number, which contains only characters from 0 to 9 and the hyphen, the dot, the left and the right parenthesis. In cases when this conflicts with other applications the user can right clicking on the icon in the system tray and unmarking "Detects". Click the Options-Customize User defined long distance menu and enter the prefix when the long distance prefix you need to use is not shown. You can also edit it the same way and remove. Enter the provider's calling number to the green area and make Active marked when you want to use a different provider than the default. This entry will automatically be saved and re-appears next time. Click on the Dial button When the Options-Display 'Pickup Receiver' menu is checked a message will appear while dialing 'Pickup Receiver' and you will need to click the OK button (or press the enter key) to disengage the computer from the phone line When the above menu item is unchecked the Dialer will automatically disengage from the phone line after the number of seconds set with the Options-Set delay menu. The default is 8 seconds Mark the Skip Area code when the area code appears in the phone number but it does not need to be dialed. Use the Options-Base length of phone numbers menu to determine the length of the phone number without area code.
